Home Insurance

Home insurance

Home Insurance: Protect your greatest asset.

When disaster strikes, what could be more important to protect than your home and its contents. Because Homeowners Insurance is considered a form of “multiple line” insurance, it also offers coverage for liability issues (such as accidents) that may occur on your property. Homeowners Insurance policies may or may not include coverage for specialty occurrences such as flood or wind. This is why it is crucial for you to consult an expert. We can assess your unique circumstances, and help you create a policy tailored to your needs.

Dwelling

The structure on the residence premises that is listed in the declarations and used principally as a private residence, including attached structures. Insurance can be purchased for replacement cost value (which is the value needed to rebuild the home to its exact specifications in the event of a total loss) or for fair market value (the actual cash value of the home).

Other Structures

Other structures coverage helps pay for repairs to structures on your property that aren’t attached to your home, such as your fence, gazebo or detached garage, etc., when they are damaged by a covered peril.

Personal Property

Personal property insurance, also known as “contents insurance,” reimburses you in the event that your possessions within the home are damaged, destroyed, lost or stolen.

Loss of Use

Loss of use coverage, also known as additional living expenses insurance, can pay for the additional costs you incur for reasonable housing and living expenses if a covered event makes your house temporarily uninhabitable while it’s being repaired or rebuilt.

Liability

This coverage provides protection for accidents you are liable for that occur at your home and result in bodily injury.
